Rex Carter, 5th grader at Washington Elementary in Mt. Lebanon, was selected to participate in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Assn. (PMEA) District 1 Band Festival on March 29th as a trombone player. Rex and several classmates joined students from across the region for a 2-day festival preparing and performing a concert.

Joshua and Daniel Grimenstein, senior and freshman at South Fayette High School, competed at both the 2025 WPIAL Championship at Pitt and the 2025 PIAA Class 2A Swim Championships at Bucknell. At WPIALs, Daniel won a 7th place medal in the 200 Medley Relay and an 8th place medal in the 400 Free Relay. Joshua won the same relay medals as well as a 7th place individual medal in his 100 Butterfly and a silver medal in his 100 Backstroke. At States, Joshua brought home a 4th place individual medal in his 100 Backstroke. Congratulations boys!
