Member Milestones

"This church community has been vital to our family's ability to thrive in Pittsburgh. Our nine years at Zion have been a blessing full of fellowship and spiritual nourishment. Our last memory of Zion: Bree became a child of God through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism on June 22, 2025."

Love, your sister in Christ, Nell

Praise God for Bree Iris Wilson, born to Tanner & Nell Wilson on June 5th at 8:33 am. Bree joins older siblings Shea, Wren, Prue and Rhys.

With their five sweet kids in tow, the family moved to Dallas Texas at the end of June. Having completed his surgical residency here at UPMC, Tanner will continue his training with a Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.

After nearly a decade of Bible Study & Worship and wonderful family memories at Zion, the Wilson family wishes to thank the Zion Family for providing a firm foundation in Christ: Pastor Grimenstein's Sermons and Adult Bible Study classes, Deaconess Joanna Lee, Preschool Director Tracey Harris and her teaching staff, Sunday School Directors Jon and Connie Canale and all the teachers, VBS Director Karen Kress and volunteers, and Women's Ministry Co-Leaders Tevia Grimenstein and Tracey Harris.

Zion Lutheran Church
The heart and soul of our worship is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe God comes to us in worship to forgive our sins, strengthen our faith, and equip us for the challenges and opportunities for the week ahead. Our worship times are 8:00 and 10:30 on Sunday mornings with a Bible Study for adults and Sunday School for children of all ages at 9:30. The Lord’s Supper is celebrated at both services every week. Sunday morning worship is the highlight of the week at Zion Lutheran Church!!! We hope you will be able to join us! Each Wednesday this year (2014), we also have a 7:00 p.m. service. This service is shorter than our weekend service, in order to accommodate families with young children. If you have any questions about our worship, please e-mail or call our Pastor: pastor@zlcb.org 412-667-0967
