VBS Letter to Parents

Dear parents:

Welcome and thank you for sending your child to Zion’s Vacation Bible School Program: 

Big Jungle Adventure!
We’re glad to have your family participate in this fun, week-long study of God’s Word.  On this adventure, kids learn about Jesus and how He cares for His people of all times and places.  As kids hear the stories from Scripture, they learn to relate these Bible truths to their own Faith Journey.

Beginning of the Day
Our sessions run from 9:30 – 12:00pm each day.  On day 1, the VBS staff will assist you in signing in your child(ren) and giving your child a name tag.  The name tag will tell you where your child’s class meets in the church for the opening.  You are more than welcome to stay for the openings.  After the opening, children are dismissed to their classrooms.

End of the Day
Because of space limitations, we ask that parents gather in the church first.  After the closing, children will go back to their classrooms.  Only at this time can parents go to the classrooms to pick up their children.  Please wait outside the classrooms until your child is released to you.  If you have more than one child, please pick up the youngest first.  You must go to each classroom to pick up your child(ren).  They will not be released from class without an authorized adult.

In the event that you need to pick your child up early, we ask that arrangements are made in advance with the teacher.  You will need to provide the time of pick up so that the teacher can have your child ready for you. 

Finally, on Friday, your children will showcase some of the fun songs they learned over the week.  Afterwards, we will have an Ice Cream Social from 12:00 – 1:00 for children and their families.  We’ll be having “make your own sundae” stations with all kinds of goodies; so please join us for all the fun!
