Rev. Eric Carlson
Vacancy Pastor, Zion Lutheran Church
Associate Pastor(Peace Lutheran Church, McMurray)

Vicar Joshua Ulm
Church Office: 412-221-4776

I was born and raised in the Cleveland, Ohio area and graduated from Concordia University-Ann Arbor in 2013 with a Family Life-Church Work degree. At college I met my wife, Mary, who graduated from Concordia in 2014 with a Music Education/Lutheran Teacher's Diploma degree. We have two wonderful children; Hannah, who is two years old and loves to sing and read, and Joseph, who is 7 weeks old and likes to sleep. I currently am a student at Concordia Seminary, serving my one-year vicarage at Zion. I am thrilled to be a part of the ministry of this congregation as we gather around God's Word, receive his forgiveness, and bear one another's burdens. Mary and I enjoy playing modern/European board games, and our family loves going to the playground and the zoo!

Brent Miller

Although I'm on the staff page, I'm not part of Zion's staff. I am, like so many others at Zion, a volunteer, using their God-given abilities to serve the Church and our Lord.

My wife, Marianne (Thielet) Miller, a life-long member of Zion, and I were married here at Zion in 1989. I became a confirmed member shortly thereafter.

By day, I work for BNP Media as a senior art director, and in the evenings and weekends I split my free time between managing the Zion website (since about 2008), freelance design work and photography.

As for the Zion website, you will find several thousand daily posts, hundreds of podcasts (sermons), dozens of videos, and a long list of archived bulletins and newsletters ... and the complete Bible in a Year readings are available online as text or as an audio download. The website has been a labor of love, and I thank God for providing me with the ability and the health to continue this outreach ministry.

More to come ...
