We had an awesome time pretending to be shipwrecked on an island, tossed on the shore by a big wave, and learning that Jesus rescues. Throughout the week, 94 children and 37 volunteers learned that when we’re lonely, when we worry, struggle, do wrong or feel powerless…Jesus rescues! Jesus, who died on the cross and came alive again, defeated sin, death and the power of the devil – the greatest rescue mission of all time!

A numerous amount of toiletry donations was collected for the First Trinity Homeless Ministry. We collected $619 for FISH FOR THE FISHERMEN. These monies will be donated to the Jonathan Ekong Memorial (JEM) Lutheran Seminary in Nigeria to help purchase fish, fish supplies and maintenance for the fish pond there, which the seminarians use as a staple of their diet. Pastor Wokoma, one of the missionaries that Zion supports, teaches at the JEM seminary. If you would like to make a do-nation toward this mission, please contact Pastor Grimenstein and/or Katie Gielarowski.
